In 1986 my partner and I travelled from SA to Qld in an old Mercedes Benz and bought a fibro house on Bribie Island. The beginning of a life together and conception of the ‘Seaburbia’ series, spanning 10 years. I now realize I had to get to know this subject and its story ... live it and love it before I could paint it.
